NLCRPD was dispatched in reference to a vehicle break-in not in progress at the Willow Point Trail Head in Middle Creek. The reporting party provided the following. She had parked in the lot for the trail at approximately 1500-1530 hours. After walking on the trail, she returned to her locked vehicle at approximately 1630 hours and discovered the rear passenger window of her vehicle had been broken out. She reported a thermal bag containing food items and a shower bag with miscellaneous toiletries were missing from the rear passenger compartment area. Estimated value of the bags and items $25.00. Estimated value of broken window $150.00. NLCRPD provided the victim with a report number by and the instructions to needed for insurance claim purposes.
This is another crime reported in a continuing series of theft from parked vehicles at the Middle Creek Wildlife Area and surrounding trailheads and Game Lands.
