The NLCRPD was requested to respond and investigate the reporting of a theft. The caller met with the NLCRPD patrol and reported a theft by deception, reporting party had an agreed amount with suspect for purchase of an Xbox One for $110.00. Suspect only provided $70.00 instead of $110.00. Reporting party is still owed $40.00. Reporting party stated that he put up his Xbox One up for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Caller claimed he was contacted by a subject via Facebook Marketplace regarding the Xbox One. They eventually agreed on a price of $110.00 and a “no contact pick-up” at the address in the 200 block of W. Burkholder Dr., Lititz, PA 17543 in Clay Township. Per the Facebook Marketplace conversations, it was agreed that reporting party would leave the Xbox One on the tailgate of his truck with a vase to put the $110.00 into. At approximately 1543 hours on 11-12-21, the purchaser arrived on scene in an Audi, 4 door sedan. A Hispanic male juvenile was observed outside the vehicle with another male driver in the driver seat. The juvenile then gets back into the vehicle and the vehicle drives off. There was an underpayment of the agreed upon transaction terms.
