NLCRPD patrols were dispatched to a crash with unknown injuries with an overturned vehicle and a utility pole and wires down on Meadow Valley Road near the intersection of Millway Road. Arriving patrols found a vehicle on it’s roof blocking the rain slick roadway.

The NLCRPD crash investigation determined the vehicle was southbound on Meadow Valley Road, lost control and left the roadway crashing into a utility pole. The vehicle rotated and came to rest on the roof. The driver is identified as Daniel A. Hassler age 24 , of the 200 block of Burkholder Road, Ephrata, PA who was cited for a traffic violation offense of driving at safe speeds – too fast for existing conditions. Hassler declined medical care.

The vehicle a 2012 Ford Fusion was towed from the crash scene. Utility crews removed and replaced the utility pole. The roadway was closed for approximately one hour due to the crash.
