The NLCRPD arrested a male adult aged 24 following his apprehension in connection with a string of crimes in the Lancaster County Area during the 48-hour period on Monday and Tuesday this week. The subject (who is remaining unidentified until charges are finalized by the NLCRPD) was involved in a retail theft offense, auto theft(s), police pursuit, another retail theft, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest. The pursuit was initiated by a metro-Lancaster area police department on Tuesday morning at 11:05 and covered multiple jurisdictions. The NLCRPD later found the reported stolen vehicle at 16:19 hours at the campus of the ROCK LITITZ HOTEL, where the car was parked, when the driver entered and immediately exited the hotel. NLCRPD officers confronted the individual on contact by police the subject resisted arrest and ran in an attempt to escape custody. The subject was immediately apprehended and placed into NLCRPD custody. The subject was transported to the NLCRPD headquarters for Livescan processing and arrest booking, charges are being filed pending the NLCRPD portion of the investigation being completed. The subject was relinquished to the custody of the Manheim Township Police Department for service of an existing arrest warrant. The suspect in this matter was previously notified of his being banned from the ROCK LITITZ CAMPUS for any purpose pursuant to a previous incident. NLCRPD will include the defiant criminal trespass charge in the anticipated legal filings at the conclusion of the investigation. Further details will be released when the charges are filed in the office of the issuing authority.
