The NLCRPD has recovered a 2020 Hyundai Tucson was reported stolen and entered in NCIC/CLEAN by the Philadelphia Police Department, Philadelphia, PA. with an estimated value in excess of $26,000 at the Manheim Auto Auction, located in Penn Township. This recovery is part of a continuing j joint partnership between the Manheim Auto Auction and the NLCRPD serves to reduce criminal losses to the local business community, insurance providers and the auto industry. The majority of the recovered vehicles were from the states of Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia as well as other states. This recovery effort is part of the aggressive anti-theft initiatives underway within the auto industry. The vehicle was impounded by the NLCRPD in secure storage pending further determinations on the final disposition of the vehicle.
