NLCRPD was dispatched and investigated a reported crash at the rail trail crossing located on Rothsville Road in Warwick Township. This area is properly marked with flashing signage for a trail crossing and is not a pedestrian crossing. In this venue there is no duty for traffic to stop and the duty is on the pedestrian or the bicycle traffic to stop and cross safely. The crash today resulted from an unknown west bound vehicle stopping, a stop by the lead east bound vehicle and a resultant heavy impact by a pickup truck also traveling east bound. There were no injuries reported and fire services were required for debris removal. Further details are not available at this time.
