The NLCRPD is providing an update to the previous posted request for public assistance in the identification of an individual that NLCRPD patrols came into contact with as a result of a welfare check. This individual was disoriented and is not wanted in connection with any known criminal investigation or offense. The NLCRPD utilized various technology including remote (on scene) fingerprint scan, headquarters-based scanning of fingerprints, and other technical means to attempt to identify this individual. All of these techniques were inconclusive in the identification process. The release of the image of the individual via the NLCRPD Crimewatch™ page and the subsequent public response provided a positive identification of this individual. This allowed the NLCRPD to provide essential information to other key stakeholders and location of next of kin to providing the continuity of this person’s welfare. NLCRPD is withholding the name, age, address, and other identifiers of this individual to assure privacy.
