The NLCRPD is continuing the agency response to the COVID 19 Public Health Crisis in the same manner we have since the beginning of the Pandemic response and issuance of Executive Orders from the Commonwealth Authorities. The NLCRPD is sharing information from the office of PA Office of Intergovernmental Affairs - Office of the Governor; Business Workplace Safety and FAQ document -Safety Measures for Businesses Permitted to Maintain In-Person Operation. (these are referenced as attachments to this posting)
The NLCRPD philosophy of public engagement, education, and willful compliance is the agency order of the day. Our agency members are visible providing a reassuring presence in the community. We are adhering to our agency values as servants to the members of the community and the local governments of which we are the most visible representatives.
NLCRPD agency members understand the confusion created by the changes in our day to day lives and the impacts of the disruptions created by this invisible foe. The NLCRPD also understands the impacts on local business operations and subsequent customer requirements for masking and social distancing. We are all in this together and fully expect both a brief period of confusion and adjustment for all involved as we do what is most appropriate for us as individuals and as a community.
With provisions of the order from the Pennsylvania Department of Health coming into the enforcement period and the certainty of questions or reporting of non-compliance or other behaviors that may occur the NLCRPD is providing the following guidance to community members.
To assure that the necessary resources of the 911 Center for Lancaster County (LCWC) are not compromised by reporting of non-emergency event reporting, the NLCRPD is requesting that the following methods of NLCRPD agency reporting be adhered to:
1- Use the incident reporting feature on NLCRPD Crimewatch by clicking on the FORMS tab.
2- Follow the drop - down to ONLINE REPORTING and complete the form. In the drop-down block for the TYPE of INCIDENT – Click OTHER
3- The NLCRPD will document the concerns expressed in agency reporting and take appropriate actions to remediate the issues.
4- Questions or concerns may also be addressed by calling the NLCRPD Departmental Headquarters at 717-733-0965. An officer will be assigned to respond to the questions or concerns with the most current guidance provided from a variety of Public Health and Governmental resources.
