The NLCRPD has a newly expanded agency capability providing high quality police services to the residents of Clay Township, Penn Township, Warwick Township, and East Petersburg Borough and the 42,500 citizens served by the NLCRPD. The recently completed construction project provides the NLCRPD Criminal Investigations Division (CID) a newly renovated and modern police services building located on the Clay Township Municipal Campus adjacent to the existing NLCRPD Departmental Headquarters. This project utilized an existing building which was remodeled to meet the demands of the CID unit members, with a focal point on use of embedded technology within a professional police facility application. The facility includes a large office area with multiple dedicated work areas for detectives as well as a large area for multiple integrated teams for large scale investigations or other demands.
The facility features several dedicated and specially equipped interview rooms. These rooms provide the NLCRPD with the most current interview room recording capability for use by both CID and Patrol Service group members to assure accurate capture of statements from victims, witnesses, and suspects. The NLCRPD utilization of body worn camera (BWC) systems, mobile vehicle recorder (MVR), interview room digital video/audio recording systems (DVARS), Live Scan – CPIN – booking area recording (DVARS) systems, and aerial remote vehicle (UAS) systems, all of which are integrated onto an existing single data/evidence management platform saves time and money. This utilization of accountability technology provides the NLCRPD a modern policing focus on professional and transparent delivery of professional high quality police services meeting the expectations of the community members of our primary jurisdiction and beyond.
The NLCRPD is a credentialed and PLEAC accredited police agency.
