The NLCRPD will soon be adding an additional feature to the NLCRPD Crimewatch page. This feature will allow residents to request specific extra patrol activities in response to a problem or neighborhood concern.

The NLCRPD adheres to the philosophy of providing a data driven response to implementation of solutions to the communities we serve. "Directed patrol" is any special assignment given to patrol officers as "extra attention" issues during shift. A directed patrol can be relatively general or fairly specific. It falls somewhere between a patrol unit being dedicated to that one issue full-time and a one-line "extra patrol request."
