On July 1, 2022, @ 11:41 AM NLCRPD responded to the report of a motorcycle vs truck/trailer accident that occurred at intersecting Mt. Airy Road and Forrest Hill Road.  The preliminary investigation determined that a pick-up truck pulling a trailer, operated by Samuel KING of Nick town, PA, had been traveling northbound on Forrest Hill Road, stopped at a stop sign, then proceeded to cross the intersection at Mt Airy Road.  A motorcyclist, Mitchell MARTIN of Hopeland, PA, had been traveling eastbound on Mt. Airy Road on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when the truck/trailer proceeded across the intersection in front of him.  MARTIN attempted to stop and navigate around the truck/trailer but was unable to avoid the collision.   MARTIN sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.  The causation of the accident is being investigated by the NLCRPD traffic investigation team.  Outcomes are pending. NLCRPD was assisted on scene by local fire and EMS services.
