An alert citizen contacted the NLCRPD about a seven-year-old female she observed walking alone on the roadway on Weidmansville Road in Clay Township. As NLCRP patrols were responding to the call, another reporting party reported that her seven-year-old daughter who suffers from a disorder on the autism spectrum was missing from the family home. Arriving NLCRPD patrols located the child contacted the child’s mother and reunited the mother and child.

The NLCRPD team extends a note of gratitude to the caring and involved citizen for calling for NLCRPD police services and avoiding what could have potentially been a much different outcome.
