Reporting party stated that within the last 48 hours she was scammed out of $16,500.00 . She stated that an unknown male named Eric tricked her into going to a Target store and buying thirty-three $500.00 gift cards and providing him with the numbers on the back of the gift cards. This individual advised in return she would be protected from international computer hackers. They would not be able to steal her identity. He stated that he provides service to Target and Amazon.
