The reporting party is the victim of a scam perpetrated by a caller claiming to offer a deep discount to the reporting party on her cellular account , she provided the gift card numbers to the individual claiming to be representatives from T-Mobile at a different phone number. A short time after providing the gift card to the individual, she received text messages from stating her T-Mobile account would be suspended unless she provided more money via gift card. The reporting party indicated that at that time she became suspicious realizing it was a scam and checked the gift card she had purchased which demonstrated a balance of $0. The victim stated she did not provide the scammer with any financial and or demographic information. Loss is estimated between $350.00 and $500.00.
