NLCRPD contacted the reporting party by phone in reference to a fraud not in progress. Reporting party claims that he was having technical difficulties with the business that deals with enabling faster cross platform digital payments. He contacted who he thought was the “tech support” for the company. He provided his information to this “tech support”. “Tech support” used the information l provided and transferred his assets of out of his account. Caller reported to have lost over 300,000 shares of the digital stock. Estimated worth to be approximately $17,000. He stated he contacted the company and his insurance company to file fraud reports. He was instructed to file a police report.
