NLCRPD was dispatched to contact a reporting party on Geneva Dr in reference to a scam. Caller advised that he met a person “Vikki Sarah” on the dating app, Wink. Caller advised that he started talking to this person and then began to exchange explicit personal photos with “Vikki Sarah”. Caller advised that the person he was communicating with told him that “Vikki Sarah” was 18 YOA and during the course of their conversation, both caller and “Vikki Sarah” agreed to exchange personal and explicit photos. Caller advised that “Vikki Sarah” then began to demand money from Caller or else she would send Caller's photos to Caller's friends on social media. Caller sent “Vikki Sarah” $300 in Bitcoin via CashApp. “Vikki Sarah” a fictitious name of an unknown subject then sent the photo with a statement that Caller raped and murdered a 10-year-old. Caller advised that his real name was not on the Wink app nor is his full name on Caller's social media accounts. Caller advised that he believes that “Vikki Sarah” is not a real person and does not know her real name. The NLCRPD patrol continued to explain to the caller how these scams develop and cautioned him on further acts.
