December 27, 2022, @ 8:29 PM NLCRPD was investigating the report of the unauthorized use of a vehicle. Officers located the suspect, Jennifer SIMMONS of Manheim, driving the identified vehicle on Meadowlark Lane in Penn Township. SIMMONS was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).  During a search incident to arrest SIMMONS was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. SIMMONS was found to have a suspended driver’s license and was in violation of probation. SIMMONS was transported to NLCRPD headquarters where she was processed on charges associated with unauthorized use of a vehicle, driving under suspension, DUI, and drug possession. She was later remanded to the custody of Lancaster City Prison.
