NLCRPD was dispatched to a reported deceased subject possibly a suicide in Middle Creek Wildlife Area adjacent to the nearby visitor’s center on Museum Road. This location was a parking area for walking trails.
The deceased was located on the “Spice Bush Trail” approximately ½ a mile from the trailhead. The on-scene phase of the investigation was handled by the NLCRPD Patrol Services Unit and a member of the NLCRPD Forensics Services Unit for scene processing functions. The deceased was a while female approximately 35-40 years of age found hanging from a tree. This individual was later positively identified as a resident of York County. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office was on scene and made determinations as to the cause and manner of death. The investigation is completed.
