A trader in stolen rare baseball cards was arrested last evening as he attempted to sell a rare authenticated “Babe Ruth” trading card in the parking lot of a large shopping center located in Warwick Township.
The suspect, later identified as TYSHAWN CALVIN DANIEL GUYTON, requested the potential buyer meet him at 960 Lititz Pk (Target) to buy the item for the price of $2,500.00. GUYTON told the reporting party he was coming from Philadelphia. The reporting party was instructed by police to agree and meet at 20:30 hours. The suspect stated was getting an Uber ride to the location of the sales meet from Philadelphia after he was flown from Atlanta to Philadelphia. As the suspect was rounding the bases towards the pre-determined location of the sale, he was thrown out at home plate by the NLCRPD uniformed patrol officers awaiting his arrival.
GUYTON was taken into custody. He was placed in handcuffs, double locked and checked for tightness. In his right grey sweatshirt pocket was the authentic Babe Ruth Cut Signature. GUYTON was transported to the NLCRPD for arrest booking and was last awaiting release or trade at the Lancaster County Prison.
