On May 25, 2022, at 8:20 PM NLCRPD Officers responded to the 6000 block of Hollow Drive in East Petersburg for the report of an injured person. It was reported that a distressed adult female, possibly armed with an edged weapon, was inside the home and may be in danger of self-harm.  Arriving at the home no one answered the door. Persons close to the female occupant were concerned for her welfare. Police entered the home and located Erin HANNA in a second-floor bathroom. It was determined that HANNA was in immediate need of medical assistance and care. Police and responding EMS assisted HANNA from the home to a waiting ambulance.

During the encounter: HANNA was argumentative with the responders and struck a medic, who was trying to help her, in the face.

HANNA was transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.  After her release, HANNA was transported to NLCRPD and processed on charges associated with Aggravated Assault.
