School Investigation

The Susquehanna Regional Police department is investigating several threatening “Snap Chat” messages. The Snap messages indicates that they were gonna shoot up a school and the other message stated, “**** dongal be ready tmr”. These threats are being investigated and have no specificity as to what particular school. Because this is an ongoing investigation, SRPD cannot comment on the status. Parent’s students and community members should always report threatening content to their local law enforcement agency. The Susquehanna Regional Police met with Donegal School district officials and determined that, the health and safety of team members and learners is our top priority. The Donegal School district decided to close schools for in person learning today out of an abundance of caution. The SRPD has had a significant presence at the schools in each location.

The SRPD Police department and district administration will continue to communicate developments and information about the threats and update parents and community members as additional information becomes available. Anyone with information about these threats are asked to provide a tip on Crimewatch or contact SRO Officer Ney via email at Scott.Ney@donegalsd.org, or calling 717-653-1871 ext. # 51524.
