On 01/15/2021 at 1021 hours, SRPD received a call for a body found in the river by fishermen while out fishing near Conoy Township, Koser Park. The unidentified male was turned over to the Lancaster County Coroner's office for further investigation. The cause of death at this time is unknown. UPDATE: The body found in the river has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner as Benjamin Michael Shambaugh, age 36 from the Harrisburg/Mechanicsburg area.. The cause of death was ruled fresh water drowning. The Susquehanna Regional Police and the Lancaster County Coroner's office assisted in the identity of the male.
