On 10/27/2020 at 1546 hrs, SRPD received a Burglary report from 34 North Gay Street, Marietta Borough. Victim reported someone broke into his home and stole firearms and $350 in change from the home. It was reported by the victim that someone used a pry tool to enter his home by force. The victim advised that two firearms, a stainless steel Smith and Wesson .32 caliber revolver and another firearm, plus $350 in quarters was taken from the home. SRPD obtained video surveillance footage from a neighbors home security camera and was able to obtain evidence of a suspect, which was identified as Rodriguez. SRPD Officer's were able to locate Rodriguez, interview him and obtain a confession. SRPD also recovered one of the firearms from the home of Rodriguez. The other firearm has not been located. Rodriguez is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
