It may not be October yet, but SBPD is already thinking PINK this weekend with two special events!
- Tonight is First Responders Night at the Lancaster Barnstormers, gates open at 5:30pm, game starts at 6:30pm. Local departments will be selling special "pink" patches to raise funds to donate to various breast cancer organizations. There will also be a Pink Patch Hat Auction presented by the Lititz Police Association. The Barnstormers players will be wearing the pink hats that will be auctioned off to support breast cancer organizations. Local Police, EMS and Firefighters will be honored for years of service to our community and there will also be a vehicle parade that will include emergency vehicles and mounted units.
- Saturday join us at Cherry Crest Adventure Farms for Hometown Heroes Festival. The festivities will kick off at 12pm with a candy drop, followed by a Touch-a-Truck and Meet & Greet Event with local EMS, Fire Departments, and Police until 6pm. SBPD will be there to hand out preparedness information, since September is National Preparedness month, and of course we will have some fun items for the kids too. Our "pink" patches will be available for purchase, with proceeds going to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. A heroes parade will take place at 6:30pm. Plus, we will end the celebration with a patriotic fireworks show at 8:30pm. Festival activities are included with farm admission.
If you can't make it to these events but still want to support PA Breast Cancer Coalition, our patches may be purchased for $10 each at the borough office, 145 Precision Avenue, M-F 7am-4pm.
