Project Lifesaver is a search and rescue program designed for "at risk" individuals who are prone to wandering due to cognitive conditions.
This project relies on radio technology. The enrolled individual wears a small transmitter on the wrist or ankle that emits a unique signal. If the enrolled individual goes missing, the caregiver calls their local Project Lifesaver agency, and the agency then responds to the wanderer's area. Using the individual's unique signal they can then track their location.
If you have a loved one who could benefit from this life saving program, please contact the Pilot Club of Lancaster, Inc.
