Officer Jerald T. Drane began his Law Enforcement career in May of 1985 where he served 16 years as a part-time police officer for two different agencies in western Pennsylvania.  In 2001, Officer Drane moved to Strasburg and became a full-time Officer with the Strasburg Borough Police Department.

In addition to serving as a uniformed patrol officer, Officer Drane is a member of the Lancaster County Crisis Intervention Team (CIT).  Officer Drane has also received specialized training in DUI Enforcement and assists in the maintenance of the patrol fleet.  However, his favorite part of protecting and serving our small community is the personal relationships he has made with the Borough’s residents, many of whom have become close friends over the years.

Officer Drane and his wife of over 40 years, Judy, have one daughter and one grandson, both of whom live in western PA.  In his off-time Officer Drane likes to collect model trains and can be found restoring his 1969 Plymouth Road Runner.
