On January 30, 2016 at approximately 1535 hrs NHPD made a traffic stop in the 1800 blk of Division Hwy in EARL TWP on a vehicle displaying expired inspection & emission stickers.  NHPD found the vehicle to be operated by Janine Hecht-Lonegran, age 45 of Newmanstown.  NHPD Officers smelled an odor of Marihuana coming from the vehicle.  NHPD searched the vehicle and found a small amount of Marihuana inside the vehicle.

On January 27, 2016 at 1344 hrs New Holland Police arrested Anthony Jones, age 40 at his residence at 221 W Main St NH BORO on an outstanding Lancaster County Bench Warrant.  NHPD had been contacted by Lancaster County Adult Probation requesting NHPD attempt to locate Jones at the listed address.  NHPD found Jones in a vehicle behind the residence and took him in to custody.

Jones was turned over to the Lancaster County Sheriffs Department.

On January 26, 2016 charges were filed against David Arias, age 63 of Lancaster after he was involved in an incident while working at Tyson Foods--403 S Custer Ave in New Holland Borough.  On January 21, 2016 NHPD was called to Tyson after a female employee reported Arias made threats to harm her to another employee.  The employee who heard the threats reported them to Tyson officials and the female co worker who the threats were made against.  Tyson officials alerted NHPD to the threats.  NHPD interviewed the female victim and the co-worker regarding the statements made

New Holland Police made a traffic stop on January 1, 2016 at 0835 hrs in the 2000 blk of Division Hwy in EARL TWP after observing a vehicle with window tint and an expired registration.  NHPD stopped the vehicle and found it to be operated by Jamaur R Norfleet, age 30 of New Holland.  NHPD Officers smelled marihuana emitting from the vehicle while interacting with Norfleet.  Norfleet was believed to be under the influence of marihuana, he  was taken in to custody and transported to ECH for a BAC.  Police found a small amount of marihuana in the vehicle.

On January 14, 2016  at approximately 1200 hrs NHPD responded to 22 Village Ln NH BORO for a domestic dispute.  NHPD Officers arrested Gregory S Bauer, age 52 after he had a physical altercation with his wife.  Bauer was charged with Simple Assault and Harassment.

Bauer was arraigned before MDJ Rodney Hartman of New Holland who committed Bauer to LCP in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.

New Holland Police Department would like to welcome our newest Officer, Joshua Beideman.  Officer Beideman was sworn in by Mayor Wilbur Horning on September 1, 2015.  Officer Beideman graduated from Reading Police Academy in 2014 and will be serving as a part-time Officer with our department.

On June 5, 2015 at 0340 hrs NHPD stopped a vehicle at the intersection of N Hoover Ave & Westfield Dr in New Holland Borough.  During the investigation Laura Jo Hackman a passenger in the vehicle was found to have a bench warrant from Berks County.  Hackman was taken in to custody and transferred to Berks County officials.
