On September 2, 2025, the Ephrata Police Department filed criminal charges against Bobby Bernard Young, 21, of Detroit, Michigan, for one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking (F3). In February of 2025, Restoration Relief LLC contacted the Ephrata Police Department to report a stolen check that was later deposited into a PNC Bank account belonging to Bobby Bernard Young. The subsequent investigation revealed that the original check had been stolen while in the United States Postal Service (USPS) mail system. The check was then altered and issued to Bobby Bernard Young in the amount of $11, 400.48. An arrest warrant for Bobby Bernard Young was issued based on these charges.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
