On 12-15-20 at approximately 2:15pm Ephrata Police were called to the intersection of Hahnstown Road and Glenwood Drive, Ephrata Township for a vehicle accident involving a sedan and a pick up truck where the occupant of the sedan, 84yr old Patricia A. Lausch of Ephrata was treated at the scene by Ephrata Ambulance and Medic personnel and transported to the Reading Hospital where she died.    

Ephrata Police investigation into the accident determined Lausch, after stopping at the intersection, pulled out into the path of a pick up truck driven by 38yr old Steven Yeager of Stevens, PA.   Yeager was not injured.    Ephrata Police were assisted on scene by Ephrata Pioneer Fire Comapny and Fire Police.    The roadway was closed for about 2 hours for the investigation and clean up.
