Ephrata Police charged Jenna Hope Belcher, 28, of Sinking Springs, and Nathan D. Conard, 35, of Sinking Springs, with Theft, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Conspiracy and Possessing Instruments of Crime as the result of an investigation into the destruction of a change machine and the theft of its contents at the Adamstown Car Wash, 3094 North Reading Road, Adamstown Borough.  On October 13, 2021 at 5:38 a.m. the pair destroyed the change machine and stole the contents. The crime was captured on surveillance video.

On October 16, 2021 Belcher and Conard were captured while committing a similar crime in Berks County.  Both matched the suspect description captured on surveillance video and subsequently admitted to committing the crime.  The pair is incarcerated in Berks County Prison.  Both are presumed innocent.
