The Ephrata Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal are investigating an apartment building fire that occurred in the 100 block of East Locust Street, Ephrata Borough on August 8, 2021 at 12:08 p.m. The 2-alarm fire started in the attic of the three-unit apartment building.  7 adults and 6 children were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.  Multiple Ephrata area fire departments assisted with extinguishing the fire.  One adult resident and one firefighter were treated for minor burns.
