Ephrata Police cited a driver, Luke Glassmoyer M/29 of Sinking Spring, PA for Careless Driving following a crash which happened around 6:00am on 07-08-21 on US 222 south bound near the US 322 Ephrata Exit.  

Ephrata Police investigation found Glassmoyer was south bound on US 222 near the US 322 interchange when he struck the rear of a tractor trailer also traveling south on US 222.      Glassmoyer reportedly was traveling at a high rate of speed when he became distracted and struck the rear of a tractor trailer which was in the right lane traveling at or near the 65mph speed limit.   The crash caused Glassmoyer to lose control of his vehicle, veer off the roadway, where he struck several road signs then traveled another 75yds before he struck a retaining wall.   

The tractor trailer sustained minor damage and Glasssmoyer vehicle was towed from the scene.  The truck driver nor Glassmoyer reported any injuries.
