Ephrata Police at approximately 4:20pm. 4-11-2020 responded and investigated a one vehicle crash with injuries on US 222 south bound at the US 322 overpass.  

Police determined through witnesses a silver Toyota sedan driving south on US 22 by Timothy Kreitz M/58 of Sinking Spring, PA drifted to the left of the roadway into the grass median where he struck the end of a guardrail at the US 322 overpass.     Kreitz apparently suffered a medical issue while driving and was taken to Reading Hospital for treatment of his injuries.      

US 222 south bound traffic was slowed to one lane for about 45 minutes while emergency crews from Ephrata Pioneer Fire Co. and Ephrata Ambulance tended to the victim and cleared the accident scene.
