A Transient Retail Business permit is required for any door-to-door sales, however, there are some exceptions for certain groups (see ordinance).

There is a $50 application processing fee.  Approved permits are valid for 30 days where a one-time 30-day extension can be applied for a $10 fee.  Following the one-time extension, a new application must be resubmitted and applicable fees will apply.

The applicant is required to complete and submit a criminal history check through the PATCH system which can be accessed at https://epatch.pa.gov/home. You must print a copy of your PATCH criminal record check whether you have a criminal record or not.
