A Columbia man was convicted at trial Wednesday of sex abuse of a pre-teen girl.

Nickalaus Stoutzenberger, 24, will be sentenced in about three months, following a background check and psychological assessment regarding his risk to re-offend.

Lancaster County Judge Merrill Spahn convicted Stoutzenberger about 2:30 p.m. of three charges, including a first-degree felony count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child.

Judge Spahn deliberated for about 45 minutes, following two days of testimony, before finding Stoutzenberger guilty of the sexual abuse in 2009 and 2010 at a home in Manor Township, beginning when the girl was 6 years old.

Assistant District Attorney Amber Czerniakowski, who won the conviction, called the victim to testify about the abuse.

Czerniakowski also presented a transcript of an online chat Stoutzenberger had with another individual regarding the conduct.

Manor Township police Detective Tricia Mazur filed charges.
