A Lancaster man pleaded guilty last Friday to felony counts of drug delivery resulting in death and criminal conspiracy.
Noel Thompson, 22 of the 400 block of Dohner Drive, was sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison following a negotiated plea agreement in front of Lancaster County Judge Jeffrey Conrad.
On November 15, 2020, the Manheim Township Police Department was dispatched to the 400 block of Revere Road for the report of a cardiac arrest.
The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and pronounced the 20-year-old victim deceased at 8:55 a.m. The cause of death was acute fentanyl toxicity and manner accidental.
Police discovered through text messages and interviews that the victim purchased pills that appeared as Percocet but were laced with fentanyl from Thompson. The victim’s friend, Jade Walmer, acted as the go-between to arrange the drug transaction.
Walmer is also charged with drug delivery resulting in death and conspiracy; that case is pending, and the defendant is presumed innocent.
Assistant District Attorney Mark Fetterman prosecuted the case.
Manheim Township Police Department Detective Anthony Lombardo filed charges.
