The Lancaster County Drug Task Force halted a Reading-to-Lancaster methamphetamine operation with arrests of two women.
Following an investigation that involved surveillance, Task Force detectives arrested Lisandra Hance-Ramirez, 48, and Alexia M. Perez, 30, on South Ridge Road in Reinholds.
Hance-Ramirez and Perez, both of Reading, were in a green Honda Civic stopped on Oct. 4. Detectives found about six ounces of methamphetamine in the Honda.
The meth has an estimated street value of about $3,000.
Detectives said the women were trafficking from Reading to Lancaster County.
Hance-Ramirez and Perez were arraigned on felony charges and bail was initially set at $500,000 apiece. Both waived preliminary hearings this week. Bail was reduced to $100,000 apiece, and was not immediately posted.
The women are presumed innocent.
