DA Adams Asks for 'Voluntary Compliance' from Non-Essential Business Owners
Regarding Governor Tom Wolf’s mandate to temporarily close non-essential businesses:
Our office is seeking voluntary compliance from business owners to follow the mandate and minimize the risk of COVID-19’s spread in our communities.
The ultimate goal is to keep residents safe, and the closure of locations where people congregate will help us achieve that.
Police do have authority to enforce the Governor’s mandate in the form of a citation or criminal charge. However, we are hopeful such action will not be required.
We wish safety to everyone and ask for compliance as we all work together to flatten the curve.
