A Gordonville man convicted years ago for sexual assault will serve up to 25 years in prison for his latest crime: possessing child pornography.
The Lancaster County Computer Crimes Task Force found more than 1,700 lewd images on Eldon King’s laptop computer after a search warrant last year at King’s Lincoln Highway East apartment.
King recently pleaded guilty to felony counts of possessing child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.
King, 61, will serve 12½ to 25 years in prison, in accordance with an agreement arranged by Assistant District Attorney Janie Swinehart.
In 1994, King was sentenced to 7 to 20 years for sexual abuse of a Lancaster County child.
In the recent case, East Lampeter Township police went to King’s home and learned he had child pornography on a laptop computer and a hard drive. King also told police he printed out child pornography.
East Lampeter Township police Detective Joseph Edgell filed charges.
Lancaster County Judge Merrill Spahn Jr. accepted the plea terms and ordered sentence.
