Statutory Sexual Assault arrest

Akron, Pa – William Vinkavick (36 yoa) of Akron was arrested and charged with Attempted Statutory Sexual Assault, Solicitation to Commit Statutory Sexual Assault, attempt to commit Involuntary Sexual Intercourse with a person less than 16 years of age, and other charges.

William Vinkavick was arrested after an investigation revealed that he had enticed who he thought was a 14-year-old girl into meeting him for the purpose of sex. Vinkavick communicated with the potential victim through the popular Facebook Messenger App. During the online exchange Vinkavick acknowledged the fact the person he thought he was speaking with was 14 years of age.

Vinkavick was charged with Statutory Sexual Assault (Attempt), Solicitation to commit Statutory Assault, Attempt to Commit Involuntary Sexual Intercourse with a person less than 16 years of age, Obscene and Other Sexual Materials, Criminal Use of Communication facility, and Corruption of Minors,

Vinkavick turned himself into the West Earl Police Department on Friday November 4th and was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Tony Russell who set his bail at $25,000. Vinkavick was unable to post bail and was committed to the Lancaster County Prison.
