On July 5, 2025, at 0304 hours, Officers with the Manheim Borough Police Department were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident on PA State Route 283 eastbound at the Strickler Road overpass in Rapho Township Lancaster County.

A single motor vehicle had left the roadway and struck a bridge pillar in the highway's center median. The lone occupant of the car, a 21-year-old male from Mount Joy, was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Lancaster County Coroner.
