After a review by the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office, the 12 year-old Suspect is being charged with Aggravated Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

On July 29, 2025, a 12 year-old child decided to prank his 9 year-old brother with the Social Media prank "the Hot Water Challenge."  He boiled water in a microwave and then poured it over his sleeping brother, resulting in severe burns to his brother's neck and chest.  The 9 year-old was transported to the Lehigh Burn Center for treatment.  The incident is currently being investigated.
