"No Trespass Letters" serve as formal notice to inform individuals that they are prohibited from entering or accessing your residential or commercial property and/or premises located within Lancaster Township. To utilize this form, download and complete it, present it to the relevant party/parties or send it by both regular and certified mail, and ensure that a copy is submitted to the Lancaster Township Police Department for our records. It is recommended that you have the "No Trespass Letter" certified by a Notary Public.
"No Trespass Letters" from attorneys and other legal sources in their chosen unique format shall be honored as long as it contains the required information found in the Lancaster Township "Letter of No Trespass" below.
PLEASE NOTE:
1.) "No Trespass Letters" are only valid for two (2) years in accordance with Criminal Law -18 Pa.C.S. §5552(a) and Civil Law - 42 Pa.C.S. §5524(4). The letters are purged after the two (2) year Statute of Limitation.
2.) The Lancaster Township Police and Township authorities will not serve "No Trespass Letters" on your behalf. You must follow the procedure above or a Process Server.
