How to Prepare Your Items for Disposal:
✅ Place medications in their original bottle, a sealed container, or a zip-lock bag
✅ Remove or mark out personal information with a permanent marker
Accepted Items (per DEA guidelines):
✔️ Over-the-counter medications
✔️ Prescription medications
✔️ Prescription patches & ointments
✔️ Vitamins
✔️ Pet medicines
🚫 Items NOT Accepted:
❌ Hydrogen peroxide
❌ Aerosols or compressed cylinders (e.g., inhalers)
❌ Iodine-containing medications
❌ Thermometers
❌ Alcohol & illicit drugs
❌ Hypodermic needles
This program is intended for individual community members only. Medical offices, pharmacies, and other DEA registrants must follow federal disposal protocols.
