On Thursday May 7, 2021, the East Cocalico Township proudly announced the promotions of two of its Officers to the rank of Corporal. Officer Steve Walsh and Officer Christopher Luongo's promotions are effective immediately. Corporals are responsible for the supervision of a platoon of Officers as well as other supervisory tasks.
Corporal Walsh has been with the ECTPD since January of 2004. Some of his current duties include Rangemaster, Armorer, Field Training Officer, Taser Trainer, and he is involved with Forensics.
Corporal Luongo has been with the ECTPD since March of 2014. He is a graduate of Cocalico High School. Luongo was a mechanic prior to becoming a Police Officer, and he is responsible for the maintenance of the Department's fleet of vehicles and the installation of the Department's camera equipment.
