The Quarryville Police Department is proud to announce that, thanks to your support, we are the 2022 Bleed Blue Challenge Champions!

In an effort to increase blood donations, the Penn Medicine LGH Blood Donation Center began hosting a friendly competition between nearly a dozen Lancaster County police departments.  The department that got the most people to come out and donate in their name, wins.  The program typical runs throughout the month of January, but due to it's tremendous success, the competition was extended through February this year.

In total, area police departments were able to take in 789 units of blood, which can save up to 2,367 lives.  

QPD won for the second year in a row.  Last year we won with 75 units.  This year, area departments really upped their game with four (4) departments bringing in 80 units or more, including QPD which brought in 189 units.  

This truly is a team effort and we could not have done this without the support of our community!  Thank you to the Penn Medicine LGH Blood Donation Center for hosting the competition.  Thank you to all of the organizations that hosted donation events and of course to all of you that donated!!  QPD sincerely looks forward to working with you all during the 2023 Bleed Blue Challenge and to three-peat!
