I am sending this message out on behalf of the members of the Quarryville Borough Police Department. We are expressing our strong solidarity and profound sadness with our neighboring York County Law Enforcement Officers, who tragically experienced three Line of Duty Deaths while serving a high-risk warrant to protect a domestic violence victim yesterday. In addition, two additional officers who were critically injured during this incident, who are now recovering at this time.
In honor of the York County Law Enforcement Officers who fell in the line of duty yesterday, I have directed our agency members to wear the respective black mourning band over the agency badges that they wear daily.
As we receive funeral service details, I will post these, so that our community members and Quarryville Police personnel may attend these services to honor their lives and service to our Nation, Commonwealth and their Community.
We are blessed as a nation to have such courageous men and women who served with distinction, fidelity and honor in the face of such great danger.
The members of the Quarryville Police and I are personally saddened by their loss, and we are thinking of them and their families during this very tragic time.
Semper Fidelis,
Chief Stone
