On 21 July 2023 at approximately 2100hrs, an off-duty Quarryville Police Officer was traveling on Beaver Valley Pk. (SR222) in West Lampeter Township when the Officer observed the vehicle in front of him displaying indicators that the operator of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

The QPD Officer quickly contacted the West Lampeter Township Police Department (WLTPD), and a traffic stop was conducted.  Upon further investigation, officers developed probable cause that the operator of the vehicle was under the influence of a controlled substance(s) and WLTPD took the individual into custody.
