11/13/19 - 1200 - Attention - Route 272 is being closed in both north and south bound direction due to a serious motor vehicle accident in Providence Township on 272 at Byerland Church Rd.  The roadway is being closed at Linestown Rd. for south bound traffic and at Pennsy Rd. for North Bound traffic.  This will place a large amount of traffic on the narrow back roads of Pequea Township.  Please avoid the area if possible.  Suggested detour route is to utilize Rawlinsville Rd. between Pennsy Rd. and Baumgardner Rd.  

We have no information on the crash as it is in Providence Township and thus being investigated by the PA State Police.  Time table for closure at this point is unknown.
