On July 31, 2015 at 1224 hrs NHPD responded to a two vehicle accident at Ranck Rd & E Jackson St in New Holland Borough.  The investigation revealed Bobby C Smith III, age 35 of Kinzers PA failed to stop at the posted stop sign while traveling on E Jackson St and was struck by a vehicle traveling N on Ranck Rd driven by Donald Reed, age 66 of New Holland PA.

Smith was taken for a BAC at LGH at the time of the accident.

BAC results show Smith had various Schedule 2 controlled substances in his system at the time of the accident.

Today NHPD filed charges of DUI, DUI schedule 2, DUI Metabolite, Careless Driving and Duties at Stop Signs against Smith.

Smith will be sent a summons.
